  Wine tasting bar is great. Good service, great selection. A big focus of Lisa M but generally a good selection of other ones too. Also a lovely view and reasonable food menu for lunch.

  Room was dated but good size. Lots of power points! Oh joy! Bathroom also tired and it all needs improvement if they want to claim 4 star. Restaurant reasonable though my lamb looked unappetizing and the salad was oily. Wife's pasta was very good. Reception also very good and early morning wine tour was excellent.

  I thought the Hunter resort was a very nice place to stay we had a wedding to attend at another place in the hunter so did not get to enjoy as much of this place as would have liked. The cottage that we stayed in was nice it was private and quiet with a great country view . Bed was amazing and the spa was great for relaxation after the wedding.Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

  We visited the Hunter Valley Resort for horse riding and to have a drink. The horse riding was through the Adventure Centre. We had a great ride. Booking was easy - booked the same day. We did a one hour trail ride, walking the horses through a trail, around a field and along some vines. Was great for inexperienced riders. Saw lots of kangaroos in the field and near the vines. Would have been good to let the kids give their horses a pat to bond with them, but their setup doesn't cater for it. We also had a drink at the Matilda Brewhouse. A relaxed place to wind down.

  Lovely location within the Hunter Valley area. Overnight accommodation was simple but clean and tidy with fridge, kettle and minimal cutlery ideal for a short stay. Food was fantastic and so too was the choice of craft beers. The wine tasting experience was wonderful and very informative. Staff on site were friendly and keen to help.
